Skylight is a site-specific virtual light exhibition which brings together virtual reality and installation media. I experiment with tesseract, a form of four-dimensional cube analogy in modern geometry in the Kılıç Ali Paşa Hamam (İstanbul). Examining the form, I discovered that the star motifs used in architecture and decoration, developed around 1000 years ago in the ancient east, are stereographic projections of the 4d cube. With these motifs, four-dimensional analogies, inter-dimensional transitions and the realization of the divine, I make a light installation, a witness to knowledge’s journey during the last few thousand years which also interacts with the historical bath.
