Towards the end of the first decade of the new millennium, at the age of sixty, Oliva developed Las extrañas chicas que amo, a series where he tries to document, as a portrait album, the memories of real or imagined episodes, but in any case unforgettable , from his love life. It is then that Oliva made this magnificent miniature, which falls within the theme and spirit of the aforementioned series, although for some reason he did not include it in it and considered it as an independent work. A “strange” blue girl, at the same time hieratic and carefree, poses naked in the dark, her opaque body illuminated slightly by the pink glow that emanates from her breasts, enveloped in the atmosphere of melancholic hint that underlines her mystery.
