Tiled
Inspired by the densely packed nature of Hong Kong, the clustered heads visualise the crowded environment we see everywhere while we were growing up in this city. The different tiles applied on each head represents individual identities of the people, at the same time discovering similarities and connections amongst each other. The textures applied to the faces are based on the different patterns we noticed around the city of Hong Kong, such as in local restaurants, schools, housing estates and transportation. The design of these patterns are simple and minimalistic, yet it is able to resonate as an iconic symbol of the city.
