My social issue is the Student Loan Debt Crisis in the United States. Right now there are over 44 million people who are dealing with student loan debt. Collectively there is currently over $1.7 trillion in student loan debt in the United States. Student loan debt is holding back not only current students but mothers, graduates and others with continuing on their future. With student loan debt on a constant rise, it is time for something to be done.
