在《Social Pattern》系列作品中，麥穎森觀察香港的城市景貌，探索人類行為如何改變社會景象。隨著超現實畫面在日常生活中出現，人類生活習慣不停改變，塑造了一個全新的生存模式。麥穎森透過創作選取和記錄所經歷的片段，每次重新審視城市景象時，種種如幻象般的記憶殘酷地一再上演。她希望透過獨幅絲印版畫，以絲網上的筆觸反映個人情感，穿梭不同時空，在真實與想像之間遊走。 In the “Social Pattern” series, Sammi Mak Wing-sum observes Hong Kong’s cityscape and explores how human behaviours can alter our surrounding environment. Recently, our daily lives have become surreal—constantly changing and completely new. With art, she selects and documents moments of her life. Every time Mak examines the cityscape, memories come flooding back. She hopes to reflect her emotions with brush strokes in monoprint. For her, this is a way to travel through time and space and wander between reality and imagination.
