"Reordering" It is a journey through the chronology of the history of the currency in Cuba. It shows the literal action of rearranging currencies that are mostly: dollars, Cuban pesos, Cuban revolutionary pesos, Soviet coins, rubles, euros and CUC. It mainly covers a little more than a century of history that can be understood, in itself, as a constant ordering, which responds, inseparably, to the historical context. It focuses on the main events that have marked this history, therefore part of the end of the Spanish-Cuban-American war, when by executive order, North American President McKinley decreed the dollar as the legal tender in Cuba. It continues with the creation of the national currency in 1914, the Cuban peso, beginning there the true economic duality. And it closes with the latest events in the economic reorganization process that have taken place in 2021.
