"No matter how vast the darkness is, we must supply our own light." Stanley Kubrick Throughout the history, many cultures have established a direct relationship with the sky as an ideal space where souls live. Specular Night is intended to be a visual metaphor between spiritual connection and the representations of these concepts. This series uses the crystals of the coffins through which it says goodbye for the last time to the loved one. As a product of decomposition, these are impregnated with remnants and particles of the body. After a selection, they are taken to the photographic laboratory and used as black negatives on the paper. The work proposes to create a fortune of the celestial, that the immensity of the firm, allows us to find the light of what we have lost.
