A zero. A circle. A nothing. A beginning. Never Odd or Even, a famous palindrome, what does the phrase mean? What does it mean to you? An imaginary nonexistent number that is neither odd nor even. Something that is neither original nor ordinary. A state inherent to human consciousness in constant search of balance between individuality and sense of belonging. This state is never static, but an infinite fluctuation. Am I special? Am I like everyone else? Am I like everyone else in thinking that I am special? Being a true "self" or being a part of something. Where does my true inner "self" end and the "other", the external begins? Can the "self" even exist without being constantly juxtaposed to the "other"? These are some of the questions this artwork is trying to raise. Just like its title the artwork itself is a palindrome as it is the same played forward or backward.
