>scroll down for English version< Après un premier essai fructueux, Derox a choisi de créer une série d’œuvres dédiées aux personnages de La Haine. Il devait y avoir 3 œuvres représentant Vinz, Hubert et Saïd mais il n’a malheureusement pas réussi à terminer le personnage d’Hubert pour cette série. Cependant, nous pouvons voir grâce aux deux œuvres exposées que cette fois-ci Derox a joué avec le principe du photoréalisme en noir et blanc tout en utilisant de la couleur et des méthodes expressionnistes. After the successful first attempt, Derox decided to do a series of artworks dedicated to the La Haine movie characters. There were supposed to be three artworks dedicated to Vinz, Hubert and Said but, unfortunately, he did not manage to finish and the character of Hubert is missing from this series. However, we can see from the two artworks that we have on display that this time Derox let himself play with the idea of black-and-white photorealism and allowed some elements of expressionism and colour.
