>scroll down for English version< Bien que Wuper ait été en tournée en Europe depuis un certain temps, il s'agissait de sa première visite officielle en France. Wuper a été invité par de nombreux festivals et est l'un des artistes serbes les plus actifs à l'étranger, mais il n'avait jamais eu l'occasion de travailler en France. Après que les organisateurs de Label Valette ont vu son travail sur le mur de silos de 21 mètres de haut à Belgrade, il a reçu une invitation à se joindre à eux en 2022. Cette année-là, le festival accueille deux artistes serbes, Wuper et Nikola. Ils travaillent souvent ensemble et ont une collaboration très productive et de longue date, même si l'un est un artiste abstrait et l'autre utilise la conformation et la narration. Ces dernières années, Wuper s'est inspiré de l'enfance et de la nature. C'est pourquoi, lorsqu'il a reçu une invitation pour ce festival, il a laissé libre cours à son imagination. Les organisateurs du festival ont été stupéfaits par son œuvre, car ils ne s'attendaient pas à ce qu'il réalise une scène qui n'a rien d'urbain. Cette œuvre d'art donne l'impression d'être une reproduction des environs du château alors qu'elle est le fruit de l'imagination de Wuper. Even though Wuper has been touring Europe for some time, this was his first official visit to France. Wuper has been invited to many different festivals and is one of the most active Serbian artists abroad, yet he has never before had an opportunity to work in France. After the organisers of Label Valette saw his work on the 21m tall silos wall in Belgrade, he got an invitation to join them in 2022. That year, the festival hosted two artists from Serbia, Wuper and Nikola. These artists often work together and have a very productive and long-standing collaboration even if one is an abstract artist and the other is using figuration and narration. Wuper’s inspiration in the last couple of years has been childhood and nature. So, when he got an invitation to this festival, he just let his imagination run free. The organisers of the festival were quite stunned by his artwork since they never expected him to present such a scene that has nothing urban about it. This art piece looks as if it was a reproduction of the castle’s surroundings even though it was a product of Wuper’s imagination.
