With a palette reduced to five colors and textures that evoke the handcrafted quality of screen printing, To Take Flight inserts itself into the symbolic and synthetic tradition of the Cuban poster school. The image of the emerging butterfly, whose body merges with a paintbrush, alludes to creation as an act of vital morphosis. Positioned between art and design, the work celebrates the moment when the creative gesture breaks out of its cocoon and offers itself to the world—a tribute to the continuous rebirth of Cuban visual language.
