Imaginary Air

105.8 x 132.3 cm

Morning mist over Kanas Lake in Xinjiang. A moment so unreal that this doesn’t even look like a photograph shot on camera. Growing up in the city, I’ve always loved (and am used to) shooting architecture and cityscapes. It was this trip where we saw beautiful landscapes after landscapes, that really opened my eyes to photographing nature. Nature photography is so much more than just photography skills. It’s understanding the weather and time, and having patience. Lots of patience. Xinjiang, 2018
