The 5-hectare preserved site of Puig des Molins (Ibiza) constitutes one of the main Punic necropolises in the Mediterranean. Density values indicate that the cemetery could have comprised of 3,000 to 4,000 hypogea. Such an exceptional heritage resulted in Puig des Molins being included in UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1999. Photo: MAEF Archive
