Yinglin Zhou (周莹林, 1994) is an artist from China who currently lives and works in Berlin. She holds an MFA degree from the Berlin University of the Arts and received the title of Outstanding Graduate. Through the visual possibilities brought by digital technology, she has constructed many virtual worlds and virtual images with cultural codes, and reflected on the cultural issues involved behind them. Based on her cross-cultural and regional identity, she attempts to explore the identity of individuals or groups in a cross-cultural context in the context of globalization, the possibility of language as a basic means of communication, and implicit social issues.
Welcome to Concrete House .art which features curated pavilions and an exhibition of digital artists selected through an open call. The curated pavilions include Ars Electronica’s partners, .ART’s artist in residence Medina Kasimova and a selection of work from .ART’s and Arlekin Players Theatre’s collaborative project ZeroGravity.art, directed by Igor Golyak and featuring the renowned choreographer and actor Mikhail Baryshnikov. Concrete House .art participants join the space for playful reflections on the creation of virtual environments.
