Biography
My name is Tommy Fung, and I am the artist behind Surrealhk. I am a graphic designer and photographer, and I started this project on Instagram in 2017. With my artwork, I like to show an alternative reality, or let's say, a surreal version of iconic places, vehicles and situations in Hong Kong. But I also touch down on environmental, social and political topics. Each picture is a result of a combination of photos that I take myself, my creativity and Photoshop. I specialize in photo manipulation, and my style is photo realistic, that even people cannot tell the difference between what is real and what is edited. I get artistic inspiration from pop culture and movies, especially those involving great special effects.
