Matheus da Rocha Montanari is a Brazilian artist and researcher based in Porto Alegre. He is a doctoral candidate in Visual Arts -Multimedia at the University of São Paulo (ECA-USP), where he is part of the Digital Poetics research group. Matheus has an interdisciplinary background in digital technologies and visual arts, his work investigates and creates possibilities of intersection and symbiotic relationship between these fields. Currently, he develops works subverting the algorithmic logic for poetic creation, he is interested in topics such as data aesthetics, biotechnodiversities, (non-)human-computer interactions, and Information v. Welcome to Concrete House .art which features curated pavilions and an exhibition of digital artists selected through an open call. The curated pavilions include Ars Electronica’s partners, .ART’s artist in residence Medina Kasimova and a selection of work from .ART’s and Arlekin Players Theatre’s collaborative project ZeroGravity.art, directed by Igor Golyak and featuring the renowned choreographer and actor Mikhail Baryshnikov. Concrete House .art participants join the space for playful reflections on the creation of virtual environments.
