Kelvin López

Cuba

He was born in Cuba, on January 12, 1976. He began his elementary school in 1987 at the Faculty of Fine Arts in his native city, Las Tunas. Graduated in 1994 from secondary level in the city of Holguin, moves to Havana for studying at the Higher Institute of Arts (ISA), in Havana, where he finished his studies in 2000. He currently lives in Havana, and he´s a member of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC). Since 2004 works as a professor at the Higher Institute of Arts (ISA), continuing an upward career as an independent artist. He has made fifteen personal exhibitions and participated in around a hundred collective exhibitions in Cuba and the rest of the world, maintaining a very active participation in the most important art fairs and Biennials. His works and pieces are in private collections around the world as well as in very prestigious institutions such as: Friendship Foundation, based in New York (USA); Art Museum of the University of Arizona in Phoenix (USA); MOLAA, Museum of Latin American Art of California (USA)
