Kazumasa Mizokami

Kazumasa Mizokami was born in Arita, Japan, in 1958. Since 1988 the artist is settled in Milan, Italy, where he in 1992 completes his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts from Brera. Since 1995 his works are frequently shown in solo and group exhibitions worldwide. Inspire by the imaginative world of Japanese story telling traditions, Mizokami enhances a style where the terracotta material is treated in a spontaneous way, distinguish it from the traditional Japanese hand craft. The creation of each object is a reflection of an inner feeling which takes on shape and colour during the process of work. Believing in the unbreakable and joyful in life, Mizokami’s works give expression for love and happiness. The artist works and lives in Milan.
