Jaco Roeloffs Sculptor
Jaco Roeloffs, a sculptor based in Brisbane, uses modern technology with old and new materials to form new perspectives on nature. He makes sculptural installations that display kinetic movement and invite immersion into peaceful and serene space. Materials like dichroic glass, aluminium and steel mingle with nature’s elements and light sources to surprise the viewer. He interprets and adds new perspectives on subjects and the world around us. Jaco draws inspiration from horticultural patterns and arrangements he was exposed to growing up on a rose farm. He is driven by curiosity of all things science, technology, architecture and human behaviour.
