Biography
Elizabeth M. Valenciaga Méndez (Havana, 2003) is an emerging designer currently studying at the Higher Institute of Design (ISDi) of the University of Havana. She completed her pre-university studies at the Arístides Viera Institute and has complemented her education through workshops on visual identity led by renowned international designers such as Manuel Estrada and Diego Vaidesman. Additionally, she has developed skills in graphic design and illustration in a self-taught manner through online learning platforms. She has competencies in visual communication, creativity and research, organization, and teamwork, as well as advanced proficiency in tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Figma, and the Microsoft Office Suite. Her interest in graphic arts, illustration, and cultural projects has led her to participate in several exhibitions and competitions, standing out as winner of the Visual Arts Contest promoted by the British Embassy in Cuba, and finalistin the Posters vs. Violence competition organized by CartelON and the Embassy of the Netherlands. Her work has been exhibited in cultural venues such as UNEAC, the Cinemateca of Cuba, and the René Portocarrero Serigraphy Workshop, participating in significant projects such as Más Allá del Cartel and Entretiempos, both incorporating augmented reality innovations. Her focus on the intersection of art, design, and innovation positions her as an emerging creator with a constantly evolving visual approach.
