Dayron Gallardo

Dayron Gallardo (Havana, 1986) is a Cuban visual artist who lives and works in Havana. A graduate of the San Alejandro National Academy of Plastic Arts, his artistic career includes more than a dozen participations in collective exhibition projects developed in Cuban spaces (among them Galiano Gallery, Oswaldo Guayasamin House-Museum, Habana Espacios Creativos, Collage Habana Gallery), as well as abroad. His work has been exhibited personally in various enclaves of the Havana gallery circuit and illustrated books of the publishing houses Extramuros and Gente Nueva; activity especially recognized with the La Rosa Blanca Award, from the UNEAC, for the best illustrated book of 2009. He has participated in charity auctions for the theatrical production BLUE-ORANGE (British Culture Week, Havana), as well as the Terry Fox (Canadian Embassy, Havana).
