Museu Arqueològic d’Eivissa i Formentera (MAEF- 21355/101)

7th c. BC

6.9 x 4.9 x 0.79

This offering that would be nailed to the door of a possible temple dedicated to Eshmun-Melqart, very close to Puig des Molins. This is an exceptional document, the oldest Phoenician inscription found in Ibiza and one of the oldest votive descriptions known in the West Mediterranean where this type of inscription is very rare. 3D Model: UAB Open Labs
